Funded by UNHCR, CSSW implements technical and vocational training programs for refugees

CSSW implemented in the Capital City Sana’a technical and vocational training programs to improve the livelihoods of refugees.

Dr. Mutahar Al-Haidari, director of the refugee department, said that the Association, in partnership with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), implemented a six-month professional diploma at the Industrial Technical Institute and the Engineers Center. Ninety-five male and female students benefited from the courses in auto mechanics, electrical installations, and maintenance of electrical appliances, computers and mobile devices.

Dr. Al-Haidari said that CSSW conducted training courses for three months at the Saba center for rehabilitation of woman and child, benefiting (55) female trainees in the fields of hairdressing, sewing, and henna, in addition to training courses in the manufacture of sweets and incense.

Moreover, CSSW conducted training courses for (27) male and female trainees which contributed to empower the participants on how to prepare plans and ways of managing small projects to ensure success of projects and reduce risk.
